Seller Insight Thinking back to when we viewed the property for the first time, we were remembering being impressed by the imposing double frontage facade before heading inside and falling in love with the hallway and wide stairs. The front room and dining room have high ceilings, beams, and big bay windows looking out to the beautiful front garden and we intuitively knew that this was the home for us, and indeed, we’ve lived 28 incredibly happy and productive years here, recall the owners.
We’ve made many improvements during that time, including extending the kitchen (complete with designer inspired fittings) and also the bedroom above which doubled their original spaces. We also converted the garage to a spa / gym and added a large chalet-style utility garden room.

The garden has always been our peaceful place. The decking area next to the fishpond is such a lovely place to relax, especially in the dappled sunshine and many boardroom meetings and yoga sessions have taken place here. We’ve also hosted numerous outdoor parties where we’ve put up marquees and entertained up to 150 people. There’s plenty of room for all and the driveway has off-road parking for up to 10 cars which is another useful feature.
The kitchen is the focal point of the house and it’s perfect for indulging my love of cooking and entertaining. We’ve celebrated many special occasions here, including birthdays, anniversaries, engagements, and wedding parties. The front room is great for chilling out in the evening, watching cinema surround TV, and listening to HiFi at room shaking volume without disturbing the neighbours! The sunroom is another favourite room to spend time in and it’s such an adaptable space. It’s had many uses over the years and has served us well as a playroom, study, dance studio, gym, office, and yoga space. It’s now reverted back to its original use as a playroom but this time for our grandchildren.
